Freak Accident

Hello to everyone in Mylot. Today is my weight lifting day. My son and I lift Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Today I had to do the treadmill instead. I walked a mile and will do another this afternoon. I couldn’t lift weights, because I injured one of my pinky’s last night.
I had my freezer door open and refrigerator door open at the same time. I was reaching into the freezer and as I pulled my hand out both doors came back at the same time catching my pinky between them.
It hurt like the dickens and initially was a bit swollen. Today the pain and swelling have eased. I couldn’t do this feat again if I tried it on purpose.
Have you had any freak accidents lately ?

So, sorry about your pinky finger. I once got my four fingers crushed when the door closed suddenly due to wind. It was horrible and the pain took weeks to fully go. It was bad and I had to take prescribed painkillers.
This looks terrible in picture. Hope that it gets better soon

@Tampa_girl7 Yes, it was indeed very bad. Luckily, my fingers were saved. If the door came a bit stronger, they might have got cut

I've done something to my finger once. I walked into a couch. Finger didn't bend. It was painful.

@Tampa_girl7 It was my ring finger that wouldn't bend, and I was wearing my ring. So that made it much worse.

Ow - what a thing to happen - hope your finger is doing better today! The other day I walked into the garage - and the light didn't turn on. I thought that was strange and proceeded to walk forward - I didn't see that this frame thing fell over . . . my lower shin walked right into an edge

Yes, hubby left a travel bag out and I caught my foot in the handle and landed face first in the floor. I think Your pinky hurt worse, though.

I know that must have hurt. My grandson was holding our wildest cat and got bit three times on his left index finger. It happened on New Year's Day so it was difficult to get some medical help and transportation since no one here drives. It was very swollen and hurt a lot. It's much better now. He was given two meds to take for a week. I hope your finger is feeling better very soon. It's not as if we don't have to use our fingers at some point.

I am sorry to hear that and hope you feel better soon. I had an injury to my toe caused by a nail technician, but it is all better now.
