Saturday was fairly great for me. Sunday, not so much. I am having a lot of health problems today. I'm having trouble walking for long periods of time due to my right knee that is giving me a lot of trouble. It's tender to the touch. There is a bump under the skin when I touch the area. I am limping less so there's that, but it still hurts so much. The popping noises still haven't gone away. I have a job interview tomorrow. I don't want the interviewer to notice my knee injury. I need the job. I'm also dealing with brain fog and concentration problems today. I keep getting distracted and not in a good way either. My mind is just all over the place. I feel really befuddled today. It's like I don't know what to think and what direction I'm going. I just feel really lost internally today. I really miss my therapist. I think about that often. That I miss her. I just want to sit down in front of her and vent about everything wrong in my life. I also have chronic pain all over my body. I'm not bed-ridden. No, I'm riding out the pain and just going about my day as much as possible. My family and I have been eating out, checking out downtown, and even lounging near the beach. It's too cold at the beach though so I excused myself early. I didn't want to catch a cold even with a thick parka on. I still haven't ditched my parka yet. It's not cardigan weather for me yet. I slept well for the past two nights so I'm well in that regard. I am wide awake. I don't feel tired. I don't miss my bed. I don't want to lie down. I just want my chronic pain and my knee pain to go away. I also want to have a clear head again and have my concentration back. My mood is down today. I hope things look up soon.

You do know that you cannot catch a cold just from being cold, or being outside, right? A cold is a virus. It is spread from person to person. If you have a good regular doctor, maybe you could just ask for a complete and total evaluation of what all is wrong, your meds, etc. even if they put you in the hospital for a day or two. With all of your health problems, I don't know how you can do waitress/banquet work at all, it requires lifting, etc. You need some more medical help and advice.

@lilacskies You don't have to say the reason if you don't feel comfortable, but what is the reason they are giving for turning down your disability claim? And did you use a disability lawyer?

@MarieCoyle My CPTSD and RA are not valid disabilities to qualify for disability. Yes, I hired one in the past and still failed miserably.

I didn't know that. Thank you for the information. Yes, I have seeing multiple doctors since 2015. I have no choice, but to work since I was denied disability 5 times for the past 5 years and I have been unemployed for 5 years. I need a proper job to pay for my bills, see my therapist again, and move out. Please let me know if there is a financial solution out there that doesn't require working. I would love to know! My job doesn't require heavy lifting. Only serving food and drinks. I'm on my feet for hours, but it's not as tough as it sounds.

It's been a hot minute since someone called me kid. Thank you. It's okay. I just need to see my doctor and therapist again and hopefully I will be better.

Putting you in my prayers and I hope your knee start feeling better. It sounds like when you fell you first landed directly on your right knee. All the best and virtual hugs,

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words. I have no idea. I fell on both knees at the same time, but my right knee is the one giving me trouble. My left knee is absolutely fine. No issues whatsoever. I need to see a doctor on Friday anyway so I'm going to get this checked out. Virtual hugs back.

@kareng Let's hope for the best. I need to move out. I can't be around the toxic people in my life any longer. This weekend did a number on me, and that's without my ex-husband present.

Wish you a good luck for your job interview. That would be a problem if the interviewer notices your knee issue. What job have you applied for?

I wonder if there is anyway you can set some small goals to focus on? And yeah, look who's talking! I'm sorry to say that once noise starts in a joint it doesn't generally go away. You appear to be awfully young to have something like bone on bone in your knee. I have that due to arthritis. Not fun. Its one of the reasons why I exercise in a warm water pool. Take care.

@lilacskies I am sorry you fell. Maybe a brace would help support the knee and shed some of the pain? I hope you reach some of your goals.

@sallypup Thank you. Where would I get a brace? I'm lost on this since I've never had this happen to me before. Me too. I need to achieve my goals to reach contentment. I hope to be content in life, if not happy.

I have been having a lot of health problems since 2015. I took a break from working full-time in 2020 and I'm trying to get back into a full-time job this year because I have some goals I want to reach this year before it's too late and I'm completely stuck. I have RA and that has done a number to my health. I hope my right knee is okay and the doctor has a simple solution like giving me painkillers. I don't think this has to do with my RA since I never had this issue until my fall yesterday. I will see on Friday. Thank you. Take care.

I'm sorry for your pain. I have to get two knee replacements . Also will need a right hip and eventually my spine. I have severe psoriatic arthritis. Hit with it all over. But, like you say, you keep going. It's not easy for sure. I hope you get the job and you find pain relief.

@lilacskies I first had mine come on at age 30. I'm turning 66 in May. I have a lot of destruction and retired on disability in 2018. I was fortunate to be approved for my social security early since my job retired me on disability first so not denied. My disability on record is the PsA. That's why I'm surprised your RA was denied.

Thank you so much. I'm so sorry for your pain as well. You are going through so much. All of that sounds so traumatizing. Yes, let's keep going. Let's never give up. Thank you. I hope so too.
