Eating more fruit

I have found myself eating more fruit on a regular basis now. I didn’t used to eat a great deal of fruit, but then I moved on to eating an apple a day, and more fruit has crept into my diet over time.
I now eat a range of fruits. Not very often a fruit salad, but just individual portions such as a banana or a slice of watermelon.
My dentist once told me that he has a patient who was eating exclusively fruit and nothing else. I cannot imagine this is good for you at all, as you will miss out on so many different food groups. It was also terrible for his teeth, because all those natural sugars are still bad for your oral health.
Do you like eating fruit?

I used to eat a lot of fruit but have gradually slowed down on it. I eat a lot more veggies now than I ever did before. I particularly like onions and broccoli. I still do eat peaches, oranges, pears, strawberries, raspberries and bananas, though. When I was in my twenties and thirties, I'd buy a bushel of peaches and that's what I'd eat for one meal every day. I LOVE peaches!

@Danielclark691 If peaches are too hard, they aren't ripe. If they're too soft, then they're overripe. They can still be delicious, either way.

Fruits are good but not good as the only food to eat
you have to get your veggies & calories in
not so much the carbs & sugar & cholesterol.
I eat fruits like cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes
peaches, apples, nectarines, oranges, grapefruit
tangerines, plums, just not a big fan of bananas.

@Danielclark691 That's why I have been picking up fruit trees every year! I got two peach trees a week and a half ago! Last year it was plum trees. The year before blueberry, which my hubby mowed down and they didn't pop back up. We had a drought that summer and Fall.

I normally eat bananas daily and now I have added seedless grapes. They are available here these days

I have to admit, I haven’t been eating enough fruits lately. Sometimes a week or two passes without having any at home. And when I do have some, it’s usually just the basics—bananas, pears, grapes, or oranges.

I think especially in the winter months when we don’t get exposed to as much vitamin D it can be important

It’s great that you’ve been incorporating more fruit into your diet! Apples, bananas, and watermelon are all refreshing choices. It’s true that while fruit is full of vitamins and fiber, balance is key — getting a variety of foods ensures your body gets everything it needs. And your dentist’s point is a good reminder about oral health. I enjoy fruit too, especially berries and oranges. They’re a nice way to add a bit of sweetness to the day. Do you have a favorite fruit at the moment?

I would say apples and strawberries, but strawberries aren’t seasonal yet
