You’d never get tired of free…

I currently have 14 candles in my living room, including the one pictured. Some of you guys know I get free items in exchange for honest reviews from a few sites (per Mylot rules I won’t mention names). And believe me, they are honest. Some of the products I don’t even have to end up reviewing. So I thought about something fairly simple I would test without getting tired of it, I thought candles and pillows. I’d probably stick more to the candles. I mean drug store candles are nice, but I like the high dollar kind that don’t irritate your sinuses,

I sent a review to a famous company. I had a major problem with the supplement I bought. It was opened, and some of the pills were missing. I had to throw it out because I did not know if it had been tampered with. They rejected my review.

Tampered pills are scary.

@AmbiePam Yes, I did not want to touch them after I counted them. The seal was on it, but not sealed the right way. I don't know who did it or why. Was it in the factory, the truck, or somewhere else?

Since you’re such a good cook, I’d see you trying out different ingredients. I’m pretty sure you can make anything taste good!

That's a lot of candles. I've snagged a little dog food and dog treats from surveys. The pups appreciated it.

I would love to get more things to sample for Sadie, but half the time she won’t touch any of it. Of course, the other half, she devours.

I got a really expensive one to review once, and it was such a shame. It made my throat itch so badly, and I had to pass on in despite the awesome fragrance. It was so good. But the throat itch I couldn’t stand.

There are so many candles out there....so that is a good thing to try out and review when possible.

Ooh, that looks like it would smell great. I’m an oddball, in that I love the smell of freshly ground coffee but I can’t stand the taste of it to drink!

Really? I used to be like that, but I’ve tried to get into drinking it because a Mylotter told me it helps prevent dementia.

That is amazing that you have so many candles for doing your reviews. I have 3 in the bathroom but I never ever burn them, but they are in decorative jars and look pretty. Reviewing pillows is another really great idea, they have so many different kinds of them, support for so much out there. It has to be nice to test it.

I used to collect pretty candles. Long before I got into any kind of aromatherapy candle benefits, I just collected unusually pretty ones. I felt sick when I discovered a relative threw them all out. I really want to believe she didn’t know over her just not caring.

@AmbiePam When I was a teenager, I used to make candles. They are fun to make. That isn't great that you found out that the cousin did that, it is disrespectful to you. When I receive something that I do not like, I keep it to myself and quiet, afterall, it IS the thought that counts.

@ambiepam You can probably smell our house from where you are, such is the number of fragrant candles that we burn. None of them were free.

Are they all obnoxious scents, or do you find a few of them winners?

@AmbiePam Well none are actively unpleasant but some can be a bit overpowering. We burn citronella to deal with mosquitoes and that gives a nice hint of lemon in the air.

Would the caramel macchiato here make your list? I know you don’t mind the caramel part... It’s a really good one. I lit it for an hour and blew it out, but was really surprised the scent lasted another two hours. I was really happy with this one.

@AmbiePam oh yeah I'd definitely use it. I'm good with pretty much anything except like those "clean cotton" and "fresh linen" scents.

That sounds awesome! Candles are such a great choice—cozy, chill, and easy to test. I’m with you on the high-end ones too, totally worth it if they don’t mess with your sinuses.

One was selling for $148, and I thought no candle is worth $148. But it smelled so good I actually understood the price!

@AmbiePam Haha $148 is next level! But hey, if the scent was that good, I can respect the splurge. Sometimes you just know it's worth it.

I've really never been one for candles. I do like using a diffuser with essential oils like many use candles.

I’ve got six of those in my apartment too. Two I can probably throw out by now. I get those free, but there are usually more candles available. I got one reed diffuser just called Blue Jeans, and I have no idea how they came up with that label, but it was a great scent. I just can’t remember the essential oils listed.

I'm not very keen on candles. Maybe I've always had the cheap kind but some seem to 'get up my nose'. Pardon the pun.
