I odered a little sculpey polymer clay from a seller on ebay. I always pay at the moment of purchase, using paypal so I know the money has been sent.
I have tried contacting the seller 3 times with no results. The sculpey hasn't arrived and the seller's store where I bought the clay, is now empty. I hated reporting this but if I am not getting anything I want my money back.
Has anyone else had this hapen? How long did it take for you to resolve the issue either through paypal or ebay?

I'm going through the same thing right now. I bought a blazer off of Ebay and it's been a month - when I was told one week. I tried contacting the seller but I never heard back. I know going through paypal is a pain - there's a time limit on reporting something, and I think it's only forty days. I don't know about Ebay, I haven't done anything yet. It wasn't much money, but still....

THe best thing you can do is open a claim for refund of your money. I just completed this process. it can take time for you to get your money. You have to ensure you have all the documentation when it comes to you paying etc. If everythign is in order they will definetely give you your money back with some charges dedducted. I still have faith in Ebay especially after they returned my money.

Well, some yrs. back when Beanie Babies was popular, I had this issue with a Seller, and I was upset, and threatened to turn them in, and has my $$ back in form of a Cashiers check in like 48 hrs. If I were you since this person refuses to respond, and even removed the items from their Store, I would be Reporting them to EBAY, and appropriate other authorities, as you should be able to receive your Refund with no problem, and also make sure and list this person as "-" there... so people will not want to buy from them. You owe it to yourself, and others, and I am wishing you luck.

I had that happen a few years ago. The seller was selling stuff she didn't have in stock yet, and the shipment didn't arrive, and she had a lot of angry buyers. I just filed a claim with Paypal, and I can't remember how long it took, a few weeks, because you have to wait a certain amount of time, and prove you tried contacting the seller. But I'm sure their policy has changed. I did get all my money back, and finally the seller did contact me asking if I wanted a refund. TOld her I already got it. I'm gonna say it was all about 2 months. But start the claim with Paypal immediately, so you can find out exactly what to do. Also complain with ebay, not sure exactly what they do, but I'm sure they'll "suspend" the person, like it matters to the person at this point....GOod luck!!!

I feel sorry about what happened to you maybe you should report that to ebay so they have an idea that it is happening on their site and they can also track that person. I hope you can get your money back if you have not received the item..

I have had that problem and had to go through paypal to get my money back but also contacted ebay as I thought the person to be a little shady in character so I covered all my bases I have done this several times just got through with one who I was lucky to be abel to solve with the seller so I was lucky this time I always request an estimated time of delivery because I to pay using paypal so I want to have an idea when they intend to ship and how that way they can't charge ups price and then send cheaper through the postal.I hope this helps.

well, that's the reason i never really trust online purchasing and i hardly buy anything online except for air ticket... it is just so much hassle and involves risks such as in your situation... i prefer cash and carry... and i am the person who is really fussy and want to look at the thing first before i buy it... i am sorry to hear your situation... may be you can lodge a complain to ebay or paypal and take it through from there... good luck...

Unfortunately ebay takes a long time to get the whole process done. If you meet all the criteria on ebays site for being able to put in a resolve, then follow the steps. It's a long process from what I remember.

Contact the police and file a report. I had a friend who had a problem like this and they went and filed a police report. They got an email the next day (apparently after the seller's local police came a knocking) and sent out the item right away.
EBay seems about worthless to help you unless you want to pay their investigation fee...

I bought a digital camera, it took much longer than promised to be delivered and when it arrived it was broken, the seller shipped it in a bubble wrap envelope!
I tried contacting ebay and paypal. Basically I was expected to pay them an amount almost equal to the cost of the camera and in exchange they would send an email to the seller to ask if she felt she needed to do anything to resolve the matter. There was no promise she would respond and if she didn't that would end the "investigation."
In the end I considered it an expensive lesson and quit shopping on ebay.
I hope you have better luck.

Hey ebay is the biggest and safe online market place, i can understand your frustration and i am sure your problem will be solved if you ask help from a customer care executive from ebay by sending a mail asking to help you regarding the problems you have with the seller and i am sure they will solve the problem as soon as possible.

how long has it been since you paid? i've had a couple of bad experiences with sellers on ebay but everything was resolved using paypal. I opened complaints on paypal... you have to be really descriptive... say how many times you have tried contacting the seller, when you have paid, that the seller hasn't responded, that the store is now down... they would investigate your complaint and usually they give you a refund. i've done this three times already. i bought a shirt before which was supposed to be in new condition, but when i received it, it had a small hole which wasn't disclosed in the item description. another, i bought jeans but the item never got sent. and the same thing happened, the seller just disappeared. i tried contacting her so many times to no avail. so i complained using paypal and got my money back. the third one.. the item description said it had tags on but the item didn't.. so i just negotiated with the seller for a return and he accepted it and gave my money back. (less shipping though...)
paypal is usually quick... i guess it also depends on the amount of money in dispute... just be descriptive and when they ask for additional info, be ready to provide it. good luck! :)

I once had a problem with a seller. Your first step is to go through the dispute resolution center in Ebay. If the seller does not respond then go through Paypal to get your money back. Last step would be to call the police. I know in my town my police department has an internet crimes division because of the rise in fraud on sites such as Ebay.

Well you definitely need to contact ebay and paypal and let them know all of the details. But since the seller is not responding and the item is not in the store naymore I would keep on emailing them to a harrassing point to see what they are waiting on to send your items. Maybe the only go to the post iffce like once a week o something or there could have been an family emergency or something but I would contact ebay and paypal in the meantime and maybe report them to the bad trader list on a lo of different groups so people can be aware of thier trading habits.

Don't feel bad at all for reporting this --ebay delivers a great service and they want to be aware of people that abuse their site. I believe if you paid via paypal you are covered under their buyer's policy. Good luck.
