Accepting friends on mylot

I always check out their profile for interests and what topics they post and respond to. If some one asks to be my friend and I see they have hundreds of friends I wonder why they want me? Especially if I see they have never responded to any of my discussion - then I deny.

You are one of my friends so that must mean I'm doing something right. :-) Thanks for responding to some of my posts too! I'm picky on who I accept as my friends too, I don't just pick everyone that sends me a request.

hi , margieanneart . I agree with you , If you accept more friends on MYLOT , I think you will receive more responsion . So you can communicate with your friends , and earn money from MYLOT , too . In my case I accept all requests. However I do not rate a reply that is too short or irrelevant to my discussion. Sometimes much as I want to answer each and every reply, just like you I am not money driven. I simply don't have enough time but I do read all replies and take note of the good and helpful responses. Mylot is quite enjoyable I wish I could sit all day in front of the computer but though I am retired, I have a bad back and house work seems endless.

I currently have five pending friends requests which I'm probably going to deny although I hate to do it. One I would like to accept but she has almost nine hundred friends and I just don't see how anyone can handle nine hundred friends with any reciprocation. The other four are a mystery to me. Not only have they never responded to any of my discussions but I don't think they and I have ever even been in the same discussion. I don't understand how they even found me.

I am not so keen in making online friends so i don't make requests to anyone.....but i do accept any friends requests given to me(as far as mylot is concerned...i dont do the same on orkut) even if i don't know them(i wouldn't want to disappoint them)coz in mylot its more like discussions and others' views on a topic rather than getting to know abt ur friends personally so i really don't care adding anyone as my friend

it is okey with me if you wont accept me as a friend because i am not good in english,actually i am still learning. asian and western english are different from each other and sometimes we do not understand what it means..hehehehe.. good day and goodluck here in mylot

Amsure that you are going what you think best. Would be great to be everyone's friend however that is just not possible. Be glad for those you have and best wishes for those that need friends. It might take a little time however you will also develop a friendship circle of our own. Good thing to address!!

This is a reoccuring topic on myLot. I think that many people have been fed up with those on their friend's list who really don't respond to discussions or people who they disagree with. I pretty much haven't denied friendship requests with anyone. I have been known to turn off notify's though and I will also delete people who have been stuck at 7 for a month.

Works for me...lol Thanks for being my friend. I think it's crazy to just accept anyone. How could you possibly keep up with everyone?? I think the people that just accept anyone, may as well not bother with adding them since they are all here anyway...does this make sense...lol I know what I mean but don't know if I put it right..oh well carry on my friend...lol

I really haven't put to much thought into the accepting and denial of friends. I figure it can't hurt to have people on here as friends. It doesn't affect our earnings right?

Hi. I have friends I can relate to also. I also choose nice people. I tend to choose those who have the kind of heart that I do. I would never want to intentionally hurt someones feelings. I also rate people. I do like to earn here but I am not greedy to where I am afraid someone else here would earn more than me if I gave them good ratings all the time. I rate with respect and hope for it in return. I'm glad that I met alot of you here.

I really accept anyone. (well anyone after checking to see what type of person they are) It doesn't worry if people don't post comments to posts, i don't really care. i will say however it's great when i recieve comments i love the buzz. =) Kudos. ~Joey

I have 14 people waiting to be added to my friends list. Some have responded to my discussions, but there are more that haven't. I try to keep up with all of them. You are amongst those that I respond to most often. Huggers to you.

oh, many of us wanterd to be your friend but its ok if your dont accept us so just keep up the good work. and please give us tips of how to earn a higher earnings. thank you very much.

margie, i think that you have a point in this post. You are being honest about your reasons to accept or reject a friendship request, despite what that might imply in terms of earnings here in mylot. That has to be respected in my opinion.

I am very new to mylot as you can see my rating... sometimes I wonder how you people manage to get some much rating... does that take years to achieve? can you also tell me what those red, blue, yellow stars supposed to mean? I will be glad if you want to be my friend. Cheers.
