I do use salt in my cooking, but I try to use it very sparingly, because it's much easier to add it later than take it away if there's too much. Even though it can be very bad for the health, salt is also a necessary element, so to totally get rid of it would hurt too.

Moderate use of anything is vital, I avoid using salt where possible, usually there's enough natural salt found in vegetables and ingrediants.

I do not like to use alot of salt in my foods because I do have high blood pressure and so does my husband but he is always adding more salt to everything I fix. I also love Miss Dash products my favorite being the garlic and herb it seems to be able to go with everything I fix. I do not like that fake salt products they make the food taste yucky well in my opinion they do.

overuse of salt is a health risk only in hypertensive patients, for others it does not matter, so dont worry if you do not have high blood pressure

I use very little salt when I cook. On prepared foods, I don't ever add salt to what I have fixed...my fiance and son do though. I have been watching my salt intake for the past 8 years, since I was diagnosed with high blood presure.
