When preparing or serving foods, I do like mine as hot and as fresh as possible. Because for me, whatever food is served that is cold is not as fresh and appetizing the way it should be..
So for you people out there, how do you like your meals/food served? Do you like it hot, or do you prefer to eat it when it cold?

I prefer hot for me it is more appetizing not only to the eyes but also to the taste as well specially if it is the main dish.
I'm from a family who really loves to cook and prepared meals on a special occasion and if we have party or special gathering we really use food warmer to keep the food hot.

I want it to come to my table as hot as possible, for food safety. I have to let it cool a little though, or I get blisters in my mouth from it.

Personally I like to eat food that has just been cooked, especially vegetables. Once it is cooled down, it doesn't taste as good. That goes for fish and meat as well. So unless it is salad, or foods that are meant to be taken cold, otherwise I like it hot and sizzling!

It's always better to have the food hot, unless it's something that is supposed to be eaten cold.
As a (sometimes) cook, I get irritated when I've already prepared the food, and nobody wants to eat yet, because then the food will get cold and less appetizing...and then they will complain about it. LOL

True, others don't give importance about. I think most of them are contented o the food they eat, which is w very wrong habit. If we serve food and nobody wants to eat it, then I think people should be serve with cooked food then. Plus, the texture of the food, when reheated, is not that good anymore. Especially for vegetables and fishes which are cooked with soup in it.

im a freak of cooking and grocery standard, i pick up the freshes ingredients and does choose the best meal for me and my hubby.
if its not that fresh i am disappointed.
when i start cooking, i make the fire to its proper element for the food and cook it with love and joy..
but i am a terrible girl if its not hot and if its not that palatable either..
if the food gets cold, it looses its main energy which we all discuss as the primary food chi,
when cold food gets in the stomach it has a different sensation and feeling from eating it freshly cooked and hot...
the more you can absorb the life and tenderness if its served and eaten right away.
if the food is cold already all you can consume is the minimal level of the food chi..
people sometimes dont get it, thats why when we eat hot and deliciously prepared foods which is cooked by heart we absorbed the best energy and thus eat them rapidly or with excitement, but with cold food or foods cooked without love or just for the sake, the food may have the taste but somewhere we feel bored or empty.
its too hard to explain thou..
but im so into hot and freshly made, the best and healthiest to be eaten by me or anyone else i like to serve and have the pleasure of my talent cause i love people to eat what i did... its my pleasure..
take care^_^

Well, you do made a good appreciation in cooking and preparing such foods. The way we just prepare and serve makes us more fulfilled in doing it, so what more if we share it with our loved ones and appreciate it. Especially when served hot, cooked fresh, and carefully handled with love..

I like food to be served the way it was meant to be... if the meal is supposed to be HOT it had better be very hot and not lukewarm. If it's supposed to be COLD, I want it just short of freezing :) However I can be flexible with certain things, like Pizza isn't too bad when it's cold! But overall, if my soup starts to get lukewarm, it's almost disgusting to me and I must heat it up.
As for fresh or not, of course I want stuff fresh as possible, but a few days old is ok too. My friend throws out deli meat after only a few days but I think that stuff can last up to a week - sometimes longer if you keep it sealed properly.

I like the food served sizzlingly hot ^_^ I like it when I'm eating the food that I begin to perspire. I enjoy eating the food this way, I like it hot!! After releasing this steam inside of my body and after I've cooled down I feel relaxed and satisfied. So I prefer the food served hot.

I personally don't care if the food is hot or not. My husband on the other hand is much more picky. He gets upset if his meal is not the temp like it just came off the stove.

I'm not very picky when it comes to the temperature of the food as long as it's not frozen or burned. I remember one time that I was served a pepperoni pizza but the pepperoni was still raw, I called a waiter and requested him to give it to kitchen to the cook because it's not cooked. The manager asked me if something was wrong, I answered his question calmly because there's really no reason to get upset.

Well I think it's the restaurants' fault then, it's their duty to serve what is best for their costumers. Foods that are supposed to be hot should be served and eaten while it's fresh from the oven, and so goes to foods which is preferred to be served cold..

I always like to serve and be served fresh, hot food. I't much more appetizing. I don't like when ordering out and the food has sat there waiting to be served. The vegetables wilted and the gravy congealed..oh and the meat dreadfully dried out looking very unappealing...yuk
I think presentation is a must....I like to just look at my lovely fresh plate seing the steam still rising, the aroma's mixing before me..while I wait fot it to cool.
Oh I think I'm making myself hungry here...lol

That really depends on my mood, appetite, schedule, and the kind of food that'll be served. I sometimes do reheat some cooked foods. At home, because of the busy skeds, we cook meals at day, refrigerate it, then reheat it for dinner to save time and rest immediately after a long tiring day.

I like most of my food hot or cold foods like some salads fresh, but when it comes to my husband he'll eat any food anyway. I can have things that are in the fridge for days that I'd throw out and he eats them. As a matter of fact the other night my husband decided he wanted to fry hamburgers. I didn't even realize we had hamburgers in the house. Turns out, he was using hamburgers that were in the fridge for several days and I hadn't noticed them. They looked awful grey color and didn't smell quite right, but he cooked and ate them anyway. I guess some people can eat anything. LOL!

Well I guess that's how you like to eat it. But I know that it is more important to eat foods while it's how and freshly served. We have different varieties of food, and we all want most of it hot. We have bread, which we like to eat while freshly baked.

I love a hot meal- and I mean all hot. Not just the main dish. My mom has a bad habit of cooking the side dishes up ahead and they get warm to cold, then she will re-heat in the microwave and it drives me crazy. I do my very best to ensure everything is done at the same time.. its hard to do but tastes so good being freshly cooked and not re-heated!
