I do, more positive than negative though as I would never want to effect somebody's earnings like that.

Same here. I only give a negative rating if the person really meant to just be offensive or rude.

i do rate positively or negatively where necessary. most gets a positive rating from me when the stuff they post are meaningful and not just one worded answer for the sake of answering.

I rate often, but usually only the discussions I like.

Every user can rate the discussions. The "+" and "-" sign are available to rate the discusssions.

I know that users do it. That's why I said "Do you guys and gals ever actually rate discussions with the little +'s and -'s?? I'm just curious. I do often."

I am not sure what difference it makes, but only takes a second, so I rate the good ones just in case it helps any.

What effect does the +/- rating have on peoples scores and potential earning? Does it actually make a difference or not?

Same here, though I usually just ignore negative rating unless it is a pruposely offenseful post or comment. Thank you for the response! :)

I *think* it improves the discussion quality of the person whose post you rate, just as their ratings improve yours, which can earn you more moeny? I'm not entirely sure, but seeing as it only takes a couple seconds, I rate a post when I like it just in case it helps the person out any.

I am not entirely sure what difference it makes, but thanks for rating (I hope positive, haha) :) I think it has a good effect on whomever's post you rated, just as their ratings have an effect on you. I'm just not sure how it effects the discussion or earnings. But I always rate just in case it helps anybody out, because it takes like two seconds.

We're not entirely sure, but possibly t improves the standing of the discussion and the person's earning potential. So it is really a curteuosy; f you like a post or comment, give it a plus and hel the person out, you may get the same treatment back.

I think that a positive rating will give the discussion a higher.. well, rating. That may allow the user who posted the discussion or comment more earning potential. I see it as a curteousy to rate good discussions as you will probably be rated in return.

I do all the time. I give a way plus but just recently gave away minus to people who post automatic responses. I also give away minus when I see people who write I will not respond to this post. That irritates me a bit. :/
