What's the best amusement park you have been to?

The girls! - This is a photo from Geauga Lake in Ohio. The girls had a blast and they keep asking me to go again. I know they love it or they would ask to go again and again.

I'm looking for vacation ideas for two adults and two female children. I have saved just under $3000.00 and would like to go somewhere unforgettable. I want to be able to get suvenours, I want to be able to fly there, and I'm looking for at about a weeks stay. The only place we've gone so far is pictured below. I want the place to be child oriented and parent friendly. Got ideas?

Cedar Point, Ohio - roller coaster
Cedar Point - the Rollercoaster Capital of the World!- in Sandusky, Ohio. As child and parent friendly as they come! They have swimming/water attractions, thrill rides, food, shows and more. Go online and get great deals on tickets, accomodations, coupons, etc. Better (and cheaper) than Disneyworld! http://www.Cedar Point.com

Jerudong Park - Jerudong Park has a dazzling array of rides, attractions and fantastic spectacles
It actually depend on where you are and which you country/ state you want to visit. The best amusement park I've been to is Jerudong Park in Brunei Darussalam, but that was around 8 years ago, the park consists of four parts and doesn't have an entrance fee then. Now the whole day entrance fee is, Child (Under 4ft 8) :B$ 3 per person ; Adult :B$ 5 per person. Here's the official website of the park -- http://www.jerudong-park.com/

to me the best amusement park is disney world. i went there in the 70's. i think it might of been in 79 but not sure. i was a kid and we had a good time there. it has changed alot and gotten better since i went there. you could probably find some good packaged deals online. when we went my mom was able to get a packaged deal through her work. with the packaged deal the room etc was included. i would like to go again but dont know if that will ever happen.

If you can afford to go to Disney World, then that would be your best bet. It is an unforgettable vacation and since you didn't mention that you've already gone there (I can't really tell by the photo where that was taken), you can get a really good deal. The secret is to go directly to their website. They actually give the best deals on vacations than any other travel agency or website, but many people don't know this. They will give you the most for your money and you won't be disappointed. The other option is to take them on a cruise. Cruises give the best vacations in terms of money as it is an all inclusive vacation. The most family friendly and cost effective cruises are through Carnival.

Well, I am not sure about a park, but what about a zoo? I think Omaha zoo in Nebraska would be a wonderful place for you to visit with the kids. I hope this helps. Good luck with your trip.

Unfortunately I cannot reccomend anywhere in the USA. But if you ever visit S.Africa 'Gold Reef City' is a great place to go both for adults and children. You pay an entrance fee, and then everything is free. They have the fun fair, water rides, a mini circus, oh, and lots more. The only thing you pay for once inside is your food and coldrinks. I have never yet heard of a child that did not enjoy it. Wherever you go, have a great holiday!

Then I suggest Walt Disney in florida. I was there 3 years ago because my sister lives down there. So she took me there and I had the best time of my life. And I will never forget it. So think about it. I know you wont be disappointed. Hey good job on saving that much up.

I've only done the ones in my state. Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm, and Disneyland. Oh and Legoland. I think my top favorite is still Knotts Berry Farm. I'd say Six Flags and I truly want to say it still. But its not the rides I love those, its the HEAT. Its like in the dessert. Me and my sister went last year in September and I swear it has to be like 100 or more degrees. It was exhausting going up and down the hills the park is built on. I thought I might die. I havent been to Knotts since New Years Eve 2005/2006. I lost my digital camera at the park and someone a worker stole it/kept it and I lost 300 pictures. They gave me money back for the camera but those photos are gone forever. I just wanted the pictures back at that point. STUPID! SO we were mad at them and havent gone back in a while. Maybe one day when we are in the area since we moved far away yeah.

When we go and visit my moms family in Kentucky the kids and I take a couple of days to go to Pigeon Forge, Tn. We like to go to Dollywood. There are numerous things to do.There is Dollywood Theme Park, Dollywood's Splash Country, a huge water park with, streams, waterfalls and whitewater. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park isn't to far away so you can spend a nice day walking trails, trout fishing, and visiting restore pioneer sites.

If you want to consider going to Asia, you may want to go to Hongkong. There's the new Disneyland Resort (although it is the smallest among all disneyland resorts) and there's a themed park called Ocean Park so the kids will definitely enjoy. Plus Hongkong is a great place to shop so you and your husband will enjoy too.

Disney World!!! That has been the best place I have ever been! They really do have something for everyone. Even parents love that place ( I know mine did) and your kids will never forget it. PLus the park is super clean and taken care of. The food at the parks are a little pricey, but hey its vacation right! You can buy fast passes that will prevent you from waiting in line for so long. Bring tennis shoes because you will walk a lot but its worth it because there is so much to see. There is even things to do at night!

I really enjoyed Kings Island in Southern Ohio. The kids area was cool and the stand up roller coaster was my favorite. I have not been there in a few years but would think it would be a good place and there are lots of places to stay in Ohio and that area would be no different. I hope you find what you wish to play in and at. Good luck.

It depends on where you are... I would highly recommend Disneyland... Whether that's in Hongkong, Japan, France, or US (Florida or Anaheim). If you already been to Disney, there is a nice big amusement park called Europa Park located in Rust, Germany.

Hmmmmm, I am from Montreal, so I'd recommend La Ronde. Aside from La Ronde, you could visit other places here.
