is the whole film we're watching, the main character telling the story to Marla after the end of the film and editing his memories, trying to explain what's happened to him, how things led up to that point?

sag777 Nah, do you actually think he could tell such a long story with that little accident he was involved in when he shot tyler? I don't. It's more or less him telling it us when he has the gun in his mouth. That's where the movie starts.
