why do people start smoking in the first place?

i just dont understand why do people start to smoke i must admit that when i was younger i smoked but as soon i as grew up i stopped it but what i dont understand is why do people stand to smoke even when they are old its not...

sairam_grace People Start smoking because of the circumtances as they quit and then start...dont know y they can quit this lil thing...its difficult by addiction
