spiritualghost I believe Avast has some firewall type feaures as well. It blocks your system from accessing websites with malicious codes, or websites that could harm your computer. AVG is basically just for cleaning up your system in case of infection...or scanning a file...

spiritualghost Avast is also pretty good..Ive used it, found it better than AVG. I am currently using PC-Cillin Internet Security 2006 which is doing a really neat job. Much better than Norton which eats all your system memory
