We just got a new puppy (6 months old) and I have 2 cats (male-4 years old). Since we got the dog - the cats hide out upstairs. Thor (one of the cats) has been coming down the past 3 days and laying up 'high' where the dog can't...

spydergal I think it's getting to that point. She has had a few encounters with the boys - who just hiss a little, and then the paw comes out for a smack. I think a few more encounters and things should settle. Thanks for your advice!

I've had some strange names for cats and I was curious as to what others named their cats, and how they came up with the names. Right now, my cat Lucky was named because my husband saved her life - so she's lucky to be alive....
