A good Digital Camera Needed

I want to purchase a new digital camera but my knowledge of them is limited. I've heard Nikons are good but a little expensive for me. Anyone have a great digital that you would recommend?

subhro11 Limited knowledge provides you limited choices and limits confusions as well. If this is the first cam u r buying then go for the best one i.e Canon. They are the brand leaders in this range. And the operation is also user friendly so no need to get pampered.
