TDonald More self reliance is always a good place to start at any time. Food, being one of our most basic needs is a good place to start. Eat simple, more natural food. Locally grown if possible. And if you have the means grow some of your own food.

TDonald I would sugest that you find one good thing and focus your efforts there. Choose something based on your interests. It's OK to have small results at first. That means you are doing something right. Figure out what's working and do more of that.

TDonald I use music. I am learning a new fingerpicking technique on the guitar right now. Playing music and learning or creating new songs is one of the best brain training things you can do... IMHO.

TDonald You should turn it in at the local police station so that it could possibly get back to the rightful owner. If the owner is not found then you have the right to keep it. That's what you would want to happen if you lost $1000 right?
