tzuria Exactly. It's just a "nice" term for being forced to be in the military. Looking at other countries (South Korea, Israel), it may be a good idea. HOWEVER, since we have not had this in the United States at all, I don't think it's a good idea to implement it....

Should people living in apartments be allowed to keep cats?

Many apartment buildings have a rule that pets are not allowed. However I know there are many people who live in apartment units who have a cat or two (or more). What is your opinion on this?

tzuria A cat can fall out of a window or balcony of a two or three story house as well. The owner just needs to be careful, no matter where they live. I think the bigger issue is that people need to care for and clean up after their pets correctly to keep them safe....

tzuria I agree. Too many parents "don't want to be the bad guy" and want to be a good friend to their kids, when their kids need a parent. Adults are too wishy washy, and the kids are the ones really running the house too often.

tzuria Yeah, me too. It's kind of bad since it's the summer, and I'm not at school so I don't have to worry about getting up for class at 9am. I usually get in bed by 4am. However, at school, I go to bed around midnight or 1am.
