Is there a way to stop being a light sleeper?

I am a rly light sleeper, everything seems to wake me up or disturbe me so even though i sleep fr 8 hours I get hardly any rest. I have thought about hypnotism but there is no way I could relax enough to let a person I dont know...

I'm considerng starting up a spiritual/paranormal website (web design is a hobby of mine). And I would rly like to know what people are actualy interested in seeing on it. any and all ideas are welcome thanx :D
