2aronic Sorry for your loss. I have heard of birds getting egg bound. They produce eggs whether they are with a male or not. I think you did the best thing for her by having the vet take care of her suffering.

2aronic No, we don't remove our shoes...at least not at the door. We usually kick them off in the living room while watching TV.

2aronic Well, sometimes after reading the post, I may feel like I have nothing to add that would be of any value. It's kind of like the old saying, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." So yes, I guess I'm guilty of lurking too.

2aronic My cats always have dry cat food available to them. I have one of the self feeders that will hold a 5 pound bag of cat food. Same with the water, it holds about a quart of water. I don't see any logic in starving any animal. I think that's what turns an animal...
