Okay it's very late..I'm having one of those restless nights (or mornings?) and haven't been to bed yet, so decided to watch the early, early edition of the news and heard this bizarre story of a woman who had to be pried off a...

ASL19741978 That story is so incredible and very sad. It sounds to me like both of them had something seriously wrong with them. I can't even imagine what would motivate someone to want to do that--sit on a toilet for two years, or let someone sit on one for two years!

What people think of me, really. It is a wasted life for me if I spend my time worrying about what people think of me. I have had some of the nicest and the meanest things said about me in my lifetime. I would rather hear...

ASL19741978 I agree with most of the things you're saying. I have a fairly small circle of true friends because I know they won't flatter me, but will rather tell me the truth in a loving way. I also know that I can go to them and be honest with them if I'm hurt or have a...

and I believe that God does also. Have you ever made a list of all the names you've gone by? If you are a woman, your list may be longer than the men's because you may have taken a spruce's name. And you probably had some kind of...

This question just came to me as I was thinking about my (or my mom's) situation.
She's been in a coma for 16 days now.
I've prayed a lot lately.
I have always prayed, but I'm praying more now.
I also know that a lot of...

OK, a few weeks ago I got about 20 dollars in groceries. That was all I could afford right then. No problem, I don't mind losing weight. LOL, so I get home and realize I didn't buy toilet paper. I also thought I had some left....

ASL19741978 I grew up on an island where we would play in the jungle or the ocean pretty much every day. In the ocean, you just have to let it rip and there's no real need to "wipe." In the jungle, it usually was leaves (you have to be sure to pick the right ones--some...

ASL19741978 I can't believe they would do that. What's wrong with them, anyway?! Like someone else said, and I agree, it's a double standard and very hypocritical of them. They tightly control what people post or the photos they upload, but then they seem to have zero...

I just happened to be unable to find anything better to watch on Wednesday night, so I decided to check out the new reality show, Kid Nation. I came away with an empty feeling. This show is a deliberate attempt to teach children...

ASL19741978 I would tell that "someone" that I am married and I am committed to be faithful to my husband till death us do part. Then I would ask him never to contact me or be around me unless there are lots of other people around, or unless my husband is with me. This is...

ASL19741978 Zelmarq, I can totally relate to you in this. It's so hard to be without a dad. And I agree, Christmastime is the hardest. My dad died when I was 12, and I was Daddy's girl, too. I felt like an orphan for quite some time after he died. Even though that was...

What do you feel was the best book you have ever read? Maybe it was a novel from when you were younger, or maybe it was a new best-seller. I still love one from when I was a kid called "Where the Red Fern Grows." What is your...
