scarlet_woman i'm just reaching the giant rubbermaid stage LOL i recently aquired alot of silks and velvets from clothes i inheirited from someone.they were never used,and too big for me,so..new quilt time :)

creematee I'm glad I could be of help. My husband loves quilting as much as I do. Well, he loves the processing of things (I guess that's the engineer mind.) John Flynn was an engineer by trade, and has adapted that to his quilting. A great role model for my hubby! :)

rosettaresearch Oooh, I never thought of it. It would make such a nice soft backing. It will add to the warmth of the quilt too. I use muslin. How boring.

creematee Musin doesn't have to be boring! It really does show off the quilting better than printed fabrics. Besides, you can dye it, paint it, color on it... ooohh... I can just imagine the backs. :)

saundyl I use sheets as well that I pick up on sale. I like the fact that they are one piece without an extra seam. I know one lady locally who makes pieced backings that are the same size squares as the front...but all one colour.
