I love fried cabbage. I fried some earlier for lunch. I normally just chop up my cabbage and fry it in a little vegetable oil. I like to add a little salt and pepper too. You can tell by the picture that I like my cabbage almost...

CherylsPearls I love cabbage, too. You cook it the way I really love it. Bubble and Squeak is good, also. A Scottish friend taught me how to make it. This recipe is most like I make it: http://www.anenglishmaninamerica.co.uk/british-bubble-and-squeak-recipe.php
I also...

CherylsPearls Personally, I think it should be made legal. If it was, it would clear out some space in jailhouses and prisons all over the world. Then maybe they would have room for some real criminals.
I haven't smoked pot in years (like 25 or 30), but I don't see...

Well?
I will refrain from adding Jews to the list though I would be happy to know about the Jewish idea of the afterlife. So, my friends Jews, what happens after you die? Do you go to heaven if you are good boys...

I just heard the end of this on the news and had to look it up; John Travolta and Kelly Preston's sixteen year old son, Jett died today while the family was on vacation in the Bahamas. He apparently suffered a seizure at the...

We are in the new house, and it has been an experience, that's for sure. Shelly has a brand new refrigerator and stove so that's nice. Had a devil of a time with the stove, since the pipe coming into the house isn't the same size...

Well I do. I am not talking about someone who just interrupts and never lets you finish but someone who knows you so well that he knows what you are going to say. I never get to finish a sentence any more as my partner always...

CherylsPearls Yes, I have and do. My Mom, my daughter and I do this all the time. It is weird, but good weird. The really freaky thing is that, sometimes when one of us is thinking about something, one of the others will say something about it. I guess we're really, really...

Since this is an old movie, released in 1973, I'm going to assume most of you who are reading this haven't seen it, in fact many of you weren't even born when it came out...lol! It was made in 1973 but set "in the future" - the...

CherylsPearls I saw it at the movies when it came out and I've seen it on TV since. We were just talking about this movie a few weeks ago. I can't remember what started the conversation, but my daughter was saying that she would like to see it. She was born in 1973! lol She...

Does anyone who doesn't know the names of their Representative, Senator, Governor or Mayor have any business being in a voting booth?
Every election year millions of people go to the polls with...

I'm not sure how to even begin commenting on this or what to make of it. Natural progess of a progressive society? Orwellian indoctrination? None of my business because it isn't my country? Oh well you decide, heres the article....

CherylsPearls My first question would be, who cares what Chuck Norris has to say about anything? At best, he is a cheesy actor. If we are going to listen to one actor, shouldn't we listen to all of them? It's funny to me that the Republican party was the one trying to...

Public schools, according to Obama are good enough for poor and middle-class families, but not for rich families like the Obamas. In July, when he addressed the NAACP's annual convention, Sen. Barack Obama expressed his devotion...

CherylsPearls First of all, even though some may think it's not the point, Obama hasn't even taken office yet. He has expressed a desire to improve public schools, but he can't do that until he does take office.
Second, I am against school vouchers, too. School vouchers...

CherylsPearls I have never been naked in public (not that I remember, anyway). lol Would I like to? Not particularly. If I still looked like I did in my teens and 20's I probably would. I would be too embarassed now.
I would love to have an island of my own where I...
