KSharpe I agree with this post, using formula ONLY in an emergency. Even then I wouldn't give my child formula. If for some ungodly reason I was unable to nurse my child, I have friends who would pump for my babies. And I would be happy to do the same for them.

KSharpe When babies are nursing, they can not bite. If they bite, they are not sucking, they are playing or experimenting. With my daughter if she bit she would automatically be done nursing, so she learned quickly not to bite.

KSharpe I agree with crunchymama. It takes a while for milk to come in and it seems like you produce nothing until it does. You also need to remember that all the statistics that the Dr.s are comparing your baby too, are formula fed babies. FF fed babies gain weight...
