Kangleicha Yes, Sauron is a maia, but so is Olorin! ( Olorin is the name of Gandalf in the West that is forgotten ) But yes, Sauron may be the stronger maia, as he was a diciple of Melkor,the most powerful of the Valar, the First Dark Lord.

Kangleicha A very interesting choice. To be the Ring of Power itself. And when we say Lord of the Rings, maybe it refers to the Ring who is the Lord of all other rings! So the Lord of the Rings may be The One Ring itself!!

Kangleicha Yes, the Battle of Palenor fields. The coming of Rohan was breathtaking, and the fight between Eowyn and The witch King was impressive too.

Kangleicha That was indeed a beautiful scene. It gives hope and courage not only to Frodo, but also to the viewers. It is not so often that a scene could move a viewer that much. But that one did.

Kangleicha Despair not, for despair are for those who see the ends beyond all means. But the future is uncertain and we do not know what it will bring. Even the remotest of possibility may come true. Sometimes a glimpse of hope may come up suddenly from a direction.

Kangleicha The Hobbit was published before LoTR was published and About Silmarilion, it was published posthumously. They are quite old books, like LORT. I think LoTR was published in the 50s.
