I will not presume to tell anyone else how to feel, but the events at the United States Capitol yesterday make me sad. It is exhausting to try to process all that activity, violence, destruction. It is too much.

The banana in the backyard is now ripening so it is time to harvest. We got 8 clusters with each cluster having 15 or 16 bananas. As usual only 2 will remain and we have to give away the 6 since we cannot eat all of the bananas.
