fyrescryer Well obviously there is not much you can do about it since your mom seems to be commited to him, i would say just try to make the best of it, and if you can't get along with him then stay away. And when she asks why, tell her.

reeseyj Sometimes when parents treat one kid with favoritism but they still show you lots of love its because they feel sorry for the other one or they dont think he can accomplish as much as you can. Sometimes its guilt for not loving him as much as they love you so...

sedel1027 Honestly, you are the responsible older sibling and the youngest always gets the easiest ride. I don't know what the age difference is but if it is big, many parents are too tired to be as strict with the younger sibling. Just wait until you have kids, man...
