@Marcyaz I don't know about actual war time as I was born after the war ended. What I remember is about early 60s. Times have changed since then and children find it hard to believe that things could have been so difficult.

@Marcyaz There was rationing for us till well after the end of the war. I remember my mother going to collect ration every week and standing in cues for hours before she could get it. My father was working in a different town at the time.
