Well, the TV has died. I think I can live without it, except that my kids and the kids I babysit like to watch a movie sometimes and play on the GameCube. What would you do without a TV?

caver1 I have never made dishcloths, but would like to. I do not have a pattern, but image I could just make one up. It's just a square, right? Is there a special yarn I should use? Would a natural fiber like cotton be better than the acrylic?

caver1 Thanks for the encouragement. I expect that both kids will continue to be here in the summer, unless they decide for summer school sometime. Once they graduate from college I hope they find jobs and are able to support themselves. Then they can just visit me...

caver1 I am looking forward to more time with my hubby also. There have been a few times these last few months that we look at each other and my hubby asks, "So when is she leaving?" But then I wonder when the time comes if I may be sad.

caver1 Yes, I do think it will be peaceful. My mornings will be less hectic and I won't always be working around the kids schedule. I feel a little guilty for thinking I'll enjoy my empty nest.

caver1 Hello, it is good to see you are still here. I've never made anything with pockets or a zipper. Much too advanced for me. I do like knitting when I'm traveling. Keeps me busy during long trips.

caver1 I would rather read a book or work a crossword puzzle. You are right about there being so many things to do.

caver1 We have a tv now, but I don't watch it very much. My hubby is watching an old show on NetFlix right now.

caver1 I'm impressed that you don't need a pattern. I always use one, though sometimes I make adjustments for the size.

caver1 Since my earlier comment there have been a few afgans that I just had to give to the person at a later date. Most recently I've made a shawl for my daughter, for graduation. Had it done 2 weeks ahead of time.

caver1 You do have to planned ahead if you are cooking or reheating with the stove. We do have a new microwave now so all is good.

caver1 My husband would do ok, since he grew up without a microwave. But the kids wouldn't begin to know how to heat up leftovers or frozen meals without one. And sorry it took so long to respond. I've been out of touch for awhile.
