I really don't like taxes and all of the Big Brother things that Uncle Sam likes to impose on us. Every once in awhile I will do something little that makes me feel like I am getting back at them. For instance, if I know I will be...

debbie4824 Changing your withholdings doesn't affect how much tax you owe. All it does is change the amount taken out of the paycheck. At the end of the year, your W2 income goes on your tax return and you pay tax. As long as you break even or get a refund there's no...

How would you compare the actors' handling of their character in LOTR with the way they were in other movies they appeared in?
For example, Viggo Mortensen looked very much different as Aragorn and as the rider of Hidalgo. I...

Even though, its seems strange to talk about cartoons because we all are older and suppose to act mature but we all know that we have an immature side in us:). Also, i dont think there is an age limit for cartoons:)...my all time...

Why do we have interests if people are going to start random, unrelated discussions in them? Does anyone else get annoyed by this? Is it just to get credit for starting a discussion in an interest?

debbie4824 I have trouble finding where to put the interests. Unless you already have an interest added, how do you assign it one when you post? I always end up putting mine in general if I don't have an interest set up.
Posting under an incorrect interest though is...

What do you think about digital camera? Are you nostalgic? Are you against digital photography? Why? Do you use digital camera or tradition camera?

debbie4824 I love digital photography. Digital cameras are made for many different types, for those who like more control you can still get it but for point and click users it helps immensely.
Think about the old days :)
Your baby just took his first steps and you...

I find myself enjoying these type of shows I think it makes you use your mind as the show progresses It just seems more fruitful than watching some of these sitcoms
Does anyone else enjoy trying to slove the case as the show...

debbie4824 I love Criminal Minds & CSI, I like Law & Order but it doesn't interest me as much as the other two, too much drama in it (I know that sounds weird right?)
Anyway, CM is just a great spin of a crime drama, new approach that makes it interesting and great...

Most of us were forced to read some of the "Classics" as students, books such as Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Lord of The Rings, Narnia, etc. What "classics" have you read on your own though?
I read Little Women, Narnia, Death...

I took my 13 year old brittany spaniel to the vet today. He discovered that she's got a level 4 heart murmur. So, he gave me pills for her to take. Don't get me wrong, she's a happy, and healthy dog, but, I started to tear up...

debbie4824 No you were not a fool.
Dogs can be closer companions than some human friends as there are no strings involved in them loving you. I can not even think about losing my dog without starting to tear up. I have lost two to cancer in my life and they were when...

Do you ever delete friends off your list? I delete them if they have not signed on for four weeks or more. I go through my friends and check their discussions, so I am not going to waste the time to check someone who hasn't been...

debbie4824 I'm still new so my friends list is not extensive yet, but I know some people on here have a lot and it seems like the more you have the more important it becomes to keep the list cleaned up with only active members.
For example, if you have 50 friends, you...

Wondering what everyone's views are on Bush's speech last night (Jan 10), saying that they are raising troop levels in Iraq to try and keep Bagdhad from falling to the terrorists. I think I can imagine most people's reactions,...

debbie4824 I have mixed feelings on this since I have mixed feelings on us being there at all.
On the one hand I feel that there is probably information that I don't have and that the people in charge know more than me, so why should I question them.
On the other,...

I am getting sick of people who think they know facts which are either wrong or made up, and can't spell to boot. Thank you, I am done complaining now.

debbie4824 I don't even know where to start. If you don't like fantasy novels than obviously you won't enjoy this type of reading. However, they are incredibly well written novels with excellent plots and subplots. Six novels in and the stories still tie together with...
