dlpierce I'm working on sort of a western drama which is set in the northeastern United States. The late 1800s is the time period. I figure any place in the western hemisphere can be considered a western.

dlpierce I liked the Maverick movies also. James Garner always puts on a good performance in what ever he does. My favorite James Garner film was Murphy's Romance with Sally Field. It wasn't a western, but a very good role for him.

dlpierce I'm in Swanton and will be seeing The Virginian tomorrow. We are invited to have dinner tomorrow night with him and breakfast Sunday but not sure if I do one of them or not. Depends if my son wants too. Just glad I'm getting to meet him.

dlpierce That is cute. Doug was one fine looking cowboy. I always like watching them good looking cowboys now just as I did as a kid. I'm excited about meeting James Drury this coming weekend. He's one special fella.

dlpierce I have strange dreams from time to time. Some are pretty ridiculous. A couple months ago I had a dream where I shot a fox after my chickens with a Winchester like the cowboys use. This had to have came from watching too many westerns.

dlpierce I try to avoid sweets and cut down at meals. Just a few pounds off and I have a lot less pain in my legs and back. I was feeling like an old lady, long before my time.

dlpierce I was not exercising much either. I hurt to even move from room to room after standing all day at work. But I find the pain is nearly gone now just from being lighter and I have much more energy. At least now I am walking more, it's sure to help.
