How do you establish network between Windows and Linux?

Here is my problem here. Does anyone have any idea how to establish network between a Windows operated computer system and a Linux Operated one? I mean a network where they can share files. How can it be bridged the gap on this...

henryfranz2005 of course it is free. It's linux and is under the GNU - General Public License which means it can be modified and downloaded for everyone. Though i use linux, I don't connect my computers through samba. :)

henryfranz2005 of course the male or guy would have to pay the bill. I mean I live in the country where there is a level of respect to the girls. :) It's like I just don't see my girl paying (for example: my food, gas, movie tickets etc.) That's all :)

henryfranz2005 First of all sir BambooPanda, I think we (almost all people) don't like this slow cashiers. Because it takes much time and as we all know less time = less work done. What if we need to buy that product immediately? what if these products must be consumed. I...
