jojo66 I use Windows 98 SE and Windows NT. Very old, sure, but they do their job... It's easy to use and to maintain. And there is a lot of software available. For special purposes (e.g. Fax server), I use Linux. Much more stable.

jojo66 There is no regular short key (like Ctrl + a for marking all items). But you can do it like this: In Explorer, hold down the Alt key, then hit f, n, f. Not so bright, but it works...

Windows or Linux which is more realible to you in terms of security and money wise selection? For me i tested some Linux distribution and i found out that Linux is more realible in security and u can install it for free. How about...

jojo66 Linux (and the software under it) is very stable and secure. The deamons run a long time without restart. Very good quality for free. On a Linux desktop, the gui sometimes crashes. But that will never halt the entire system and give you a "blue screen" like...

though the os--linux is free.. still ppl love to buy costly os-windows, by microsoft.. doesnt it shows that sumwhere/sumprobs??

jojo66 Professional use: Linux systems are very useful on servers in smaller environments (safe, stable, fast), but rolling out and maintaining a hundred PC's with an Linux OS is a headache... There are no professional tools for updating/ patching this operating...
