why indian cricket team is referred to as Team India?

Why is the Indian cricket team is referred to as Team India? don't we have others national/international teams of India then only cricket team is been given this distinction.

jovial65 There are other international indian teams from other sports but one thing we should remember is that this word team india is "media creation " like the word "bodyline" which was also created by media
