peavey Use diatomaceous earth around the plants. It's inexpensive and natural. It causes dehydration on soft bodied bugs and things. You should be able to find it in a garden center.

dlr297 You can set traps, Use a shallow jar or pan. Put it in the ground so the top is flush with the ground, fill it with beer about 2 thirds full. they will fall in and drown, check the traps everyday. Hope that this was helpful. They also do not like copper and...

lilaclady I have heard by putting a bowl of beer out they go for that before the plants, I am not sure the beer kills them or if they drown in it, I guess it depends if your garden is worth to you to waste the beer...hahahahah

Wizzywig It depends if you want them to live? You can get traps which you put beer in... I believe they are attracted to it and fall in. Salt will kill them but its not very pleasant. You other alternative is to collect them all up & take them out into the countryside...
