kelih61 i didn't realize how much money i used to spend. if i wanted something, i went and bought it. now i weigh want against need. i'm doing well i think. my downfall is clothes and shoes. i haven't bought either one for a while now.

kelih61 I saw a tv show and they were saying that we should all begin living as if the recession has gotten us or our partner so it's not such a culture shock when it happens. i'm trying to cut back on things and it's hard to do.

kelih61 I have one daughter only. She is grown and has her Master's degree and I am very proud of her. Being an only child doesn't have to be a bad thing. Bring your child up unspoiled and it is wonderful. As for people who don't want kids, maybe it's better that way....
