Lemonata You definitely do not have to be a musician for that :). I'm not saying you HAVE to know any, just telling you they excist.

coffee maker calls it 2 cups...it's only 1

Why is that? Every coffee maker I have ever seen marks the 2 cup mark like you're really going to get two cups out of it! It barely is one cup in reality. I know that they say it's a 6 ounce cup. Where did they get...

Do you care of brands when you buy art supplies?

To me it depends on what I need. Some supplies need to be good quality (like coloured pencils or brushes) but for the others I don't care much. What are your thoughts?

Lemonata Well, thankfully cheap brushes can also be used for "dirty" jobs like brushing on glue or mixing paints :). I agree with the paints, too. Good paints have more pigment and that way they actually last longer.

Lemonata Yeah, I've noticed that too - cheaper brands tend to break easily. They also don't give out much pigment so they're kind of pointless to use anyway.

Get paid to draw?

Does anybody know a legit site that pays you to draw I konw that dreamstime accepts illustrations but I think that they only accept proffesional work its really difficult to get accepted.I am not very good with adope illustrator...

Lemonata You could try accepting comissions. Just put the pricelist and dos and don'ts up in your journal. The thing with this is though... you'll have to have a lot of watchers and you have to be really good. And you have to do heck of promoting. So yeah, amateur...

Lemonata I have to point out, that you can't get a SLR cheap. The new ones are quite a bit more expensive than digital cameras (well, the sortiment is smaller, too) and the FILM costs money, too. Plus you'll have to develop the photos, which also costs extra. For a...
