I bought an HP notebook the other day, fresh out of the box. The advertised hard drive size was 250GB. When I opened up the "Computer" window, it showed that I had 180 gigs left out of 221. I had neither installed or downloaded...

locke49 Absolutely not. Although that it is said that the Church is God, it is the people of the Church that really make it what it is. I have heard some priests say some ridiculous things, and ordained or not, I never blindly accept information.

locke49 I feel guilty for thinking this (let alone posting it). Seeing obese people eat fast food disgusts me. I know everybody gets hungry and it may not be the case that they're eating like that all the time (but you can see where I'm coming from right?).

I live in California and almost EVERYBODY has been to Disneyland. I've always been curious if it's such a big deal for other people. Please state where you are from and how many times you've been to D-Land!

I have have neither a Myspace or Facebook, but I am thinking about signing up for one or the other. Most of my friends have both, but I don't want to update two sites all the time. Based on your experience which do you like most?

Now this wasn't something I just thought of. People who don't like animals don't have to be bad people. Pet owners can be bad people as well. But I'm talking about people who can't stand dogs, cats, horses, goldfish...they balk...

locke49 I probably would not trust a person who doesn't like animals to look after my cat for instance. I wouldn't judge somebody solely because they don't like animals - as long as they're not violent - then I would have a problem with them.

Bottled water is bad for the environment, but some people just hate the taste of tap water. I use one of those purifiers on my tap and the water tastes just fine - I save money and the environment. How about you?

locke49 I can usually tell if a long discussion is worth it or not after the first couple of sentences. If the author is engaging and the length of the discussion is essential to make a point, then I actually prefer the discussion to some of the "shallower" ones.

locke49 I like the New York Times. I don't live in New York, in fact, I live on the west coast! But I have been counting on NYT for years and they always seem to deliver accurate, unbiased information. I also like their website setup - very appealing and easy to use.

locke49 Hmmmm....interesting. I agree that a purely peaceful lifestyle would naturally decrease the birth rate - but without wars and violence, the death rate would also decrease. I guess it boils down to which will decrease more - something we can't really be sure...
