Just out of curiosity, is there any reason that quilting fabric couldn't be used for fashion fabric? I am making a skirt, and I found this really cute print, but it says it's a quilting fabric... Since I'm still really new to this...

creematee by all means, use the "quilting fabric" for apparrel. It is after all 100% cotton. :) The only big thing to remember is it *may* shrink after it's sewn (not likely--especially if you prewash) and it will wrinkle, wrinkle, wrinkle!!! I've made many garments...

Bev1986 Wow, I've never noticed material being called quilting fabric! I like to make quilts but I just use regular material... and when I make an outfit, I just go to the store and pick out material! I don't ever look to see if it's marked for anything...
