PersonalEnigma Isn't it great to get a chance to explore places and see things that you'd never get to do in real life :) To me that's what reading is all about. I also enjoy a challenge - with two kids sometimes I need that intellectual stimulant.

PersonalEnigma Thanks for the link! I took a look and realized that I have read one of his books - "As the Crow Flies". It was quite good. I should find some of his other books to read. He has a rather interesting life story doesn't he?

PersonalEnigma What stories in particular are you thinking of? They sound interesting. I agree that many stories these days seem to be very linear. That seems to be the way people like them. Something with more dimensions would be interesting though.

PersonalEnigma That's ok. I really enjoy Law & Order SVU which is all about rape and child abuse... There is a strange fascination with stories like that - especially when you don't have to live them. I'll have to check out VC Andrews. Thanks :)

PersonalEnigma I think that it is less what you have done than how it is written. Even the most boring things can be made interesting with some creative writing skills.
