I love both because they both have amazing differences. The mountains are fun because they are cold with snow and you can go skiing and then you can sit around a fire at night which is very relaxing. i also love the beach because you can go and just lay and tan or you can go and snorkel or surf. both of them are amazing and very relaxing.

I love both the mountains and the beaches very much. If I could only choose one, I would say the mountains. My last vacation was in the mountains in Massachusetts this past summer and it was so beautiful up there. I felt like I was in heaven and being able to see the various states from above was incredible. The Virginia mountains are beautiful too.

Well My childhood and all the schooling was done in Dehra Dun a small place in INDIA near to boarder of china. Its a small valley surrounded by mountains. The fragerance of the soil coupled with the leaves and trees is something which i think i can never forget whole my life and i knew i love mountains so much as they were so close to nature. But eventually during my work I had to stay in diferent places, once brought me close to sea and when i spent times sitting on the beach and admiring the waves how it came to the shore and disappeared and then the next would come with more power how the water made a pattern of movement and so calmly yet scaringly would rise would made me go into thinkings hence now i feel i have a weekness for beach also. So now both are equally same for me. Miss both of them when iam away from them..

I don't really like being cold, so in the winter the mountains aren't so fun for me. At least until I went to Seattle. We drove up into the Cascades and they were stunning....breathtaking...awesome and a whole slew of other adjectives. I had never seen mountains like this before. I am used to the rolling hills of the east coast. I do like the beach - but I live within 5 minutes from it... so the novalty has kind of worn off.

Having lived around both, I have to say that I love them both equally.
There's something peaceful about the beach that I miss, especially at night, but the mountains ...*sigh*... really give me a sense my place in this world. The granduer of them really puts things in perspective for me.

Both are beautiful but growing up on Lake Erie I have to admit I'm a beach bum at heart! We're lucky enough here to have both though!

I used to go to the beach all the time when I was younger. But hearing how the sun is so bad for your skin, Ive cut back. The mountains are nice too. But rarely get to see them. We have to travel a ways from where I live.
