My five year old daughter got her ears pierced this weekend. She is so excited and can't wait to change her earings (yes I know she has to wait 6 weeks). So I went on E-Bay last night and started looking for earings for her so she would be ready when the time came. I order the earings belows or OK I ordered more than just that, my complete order was as follows: 24 pairs of Mickey Mouse of earings (see below) cost .99 cents 36 pairs of Spider earings cost .99 cents 24 Hearts earings cost .99 cents For a grand total of 84 pairs of earings. OK, I didn't realize it was that many when I finished the order, but the total order to $2.98 plus $8.99 for shipping and handling, what a great price! I couldn't help myself. So I was thinking that between the 5 year old and the 11 year old, I am set for little surprises for a long long time! I went overboard didn't I? I am so not good at this girly stuff.

Haha Now that's a great deal for that many earrings! Less than $0.01 for 1 pair of earnings. Not too bad. Seriously you have gone overboard with the number of earrings! 84 earrings for just a young girl age 5! Lol it would take her at least 3 months to finish wearing all those earrings, and at the same time she must change the pair every single day. But then for that price, who could blame you? Hehe, I would also go overboard with my orders, more so when the price is a steal! No worries, it's not so much of the girly stuff I believe. It's more of the fact that we humans just could not resist a good deal, especially when the stuff are dirt cheap. And it does not hurt to like throw them away even if it is not used and your daughter has outgrown them. THe Hearts earrings would last, but not for the Mickey Mouse and the Spiderman. Children grow fast. Girls grow even faster! Before one knew it, your little girl who love these cartoon charactors would soon come to detest them and find it embarrassing to be wearing them. And then, it's shopping all over again! Lol. Oh well~ Mothers are always mothers too! Take heart that there are many mothers out there who are like you too! Take care and happy mylotting

I am a always looking for a good deal. I don't like paying full price for anything. If she out grows them I will just have to find a similar deal.

Nah, you did AWESOME. I have three girls and all three have peirced ears and we are constantly loosing earings. I often buy "back up" pairs so that when they loose one earing I have a match. I think you got a fantastic value. Smart shopping mom!!!!

Yes, my husband thinks I am nuts too, but logic is sound, even if it is only in my own mind. :D LOL

Thank you, I didn't consider the lose factor either. See I am going to have a book of reasons to tell my husband of why the I need to buy that many pairs of earings. LOL

I try to have logical resons for all the irrational things I do, it makes life go smoother. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I have a logical reson for being so.

Maybe you did go a little overboard but that doesnt matter especially for that price! Id definitley hide some though and then you can bring them a new pair out now and again and they will be so happy each time! The earrings are very pretty though!

I agree with keza, you didn't go overboard at all. The price was that cheap so you might as well buy in bulk :D

I think you did a great bargin! The earrings can be great gifts for birthday parties she'll attend as well! Great gifts for almost no cost. I wish I had found such things - that would help out a lot with two girls with pierced ears and tons of friends birthday parties! Good luck with having her wait to change the earrings!

Yeah she told me today that it has been three days so she can change out the earings now and I said no you actually have to wait 42 days, then you change them. She was very disappointed. I think it is going to be a battle.

You didnt go overboard at all. A girl can never have too many pairs of earrings, and if this is her first time getting her ears pierced she will probably want to change them all the time so its good you got lots of pairs she can change to.

Maybe you did, with the buying earings thing. My mom had my ears pierced the day she got me OUT of the hospital when I was born. THAT. Was overboard.

I am determined not to be that Mom. I felt that getting her ears pierced was a personal decision that only she could make, so I waited for her to ask.

Wow!! That is a lot of earrings for sure. The main thing will be trying to keep your daughter from wanting to switch before she is able too. That is a Good deal and I think you are now set on Earrings for a long time. Hope your daughters will like them as well.

I hope that she does too, getting her ears pierced was her choice and she angonized over it and finally did it, so anything I can do to make it more enjoyable so she does not regret her decision is well worth it.

Yeah that's alot of earrings alright but the price was right. I bought sets this holiday for my girls as they go thru them, loose them, or they get funky at my work I thought I did good with an 20 piece set with a necklace for like $4. Worse comes to worse just put the majority up and aside or you'll have earings everywhere ;0)

Not at all! Young girls are going to have a tendency to lose earrings. Especially since they don't make anything like they used to. Earring backings are so cheap these days! And those are definitely cute! My girls just got their ears pierced last year (after many years of swearing they never would - afraid of the pain - they up and decided to get them done one right after the other). My husband was the one who splurged on them. He went and bought them both a pair of genuine diamond earrings (1/10 karat). So far the girls have been treating that pair very well. (phew)

Well that is great! So it teaches them responsibility! Another very good point. See now I was feeling foolish about buying so many earings, but I guess there was no reason for it. I was just looking at it wrong I guess.

How can you say that you're not good at girly stuff? You are good! You're so prepared! Plus you got a great deal. i think you bought too much though. I don't think she'll wear all those. Maybe you can give some as presents next Christmas. But seriously, those are a steal! And they look cute. I'm sure your daughter will love it! :)

I think between the two girls the earings will get worn, or at least I hope they will. But yes, I think I have presents for a long time.

Hi there, No, you absolutely did not go overboard. You got an excellent deal and think of all of the fun you can have later. As you have already said you are set for your little surprises for a long time. Perhaps, you could hide them for Easter egg hunts, add a pair to the top of Birthday gifts, you have them for goody bags for birthday parties... The possibilities are endless... last minute gifts for an unexpected invitation to another girl's Birthday party. And a girl can never have too many earrings, I hope they give your girls lots of smiles!

Yeah I was thinking Easter Eggs, Valentines Day presents there are so many occassions that I can think of to give the girls a present of earings. She also has 6 months of having to wear earings every day, variety is important at that point.

Well maybe just a wee bit. But when it comes to little ones and pierced ears they loose many of the earrings, one at a time...lol. SO having plenty you won't have to worry about it. The only thing you may have to worry about is that she will be able to wear them. My two granddaughter and my daughter are like me. They can only wear real gold earrings. We have tried all others hypo-allergenic, silver, everything. The only thing that doesn't cause us any problems.

I was a little concerned about that myself, because I am the same wait, but I can wear stainless steel, gold or platinum. I hoping she did not inherit that trait.

WOW! That's quite a lot but from seeing the photo, they are of various colors and girls love nothing better than to change the colors of their earings to match what they are going to wear, so your daughters will surely be delighted since they can change colors daily if they wish

LMAO Yes you went overboard but I think there's a silver lining here. Lil Bytemi will go thru many pairs of earrings in the next several years---I know I lost over 10 pair between the age of 4 and 8. And Little MizzWilliams has done the same...so now you have spared yourself the trouble of going out to replace the earrings that will likely get lost--AND you've saved a ton of money in the process! I wouldn't worry about it my friend....besides...next time my lil one loses a pair we can shop at Ms. Bytemi's house! LOL

Yes or just go to e-bay and get own great deal! Seriously, I could not believe that I won the auctions. I believe the purpose of the auction was for resale but you know, the kids need there bling! LOL OK sorry, the 11 year old took over for a minute. I was thinking we could give the kids a pair of two or 10 for V-Day.

those studs are really good and the price was also good for that stuff. but u are taken more studds for u;r kid. i think u have taken more studs in one model for example u have taken mickey mouse studs 24 pairs .instead taking more of these ,u can select any other model , and after sometime also u can select other models for u;r kid in ebay if new stock comes . but i think u have taken too much stuff for u'r kid in one or two models . u can see other model stuff for u;r kid instead of one model . in ebay u can see many varieties, but u have selected only 3 models.

Hi friend, Good morning. You are not so. I think that your child will be happy to see a lot of earrings for her. Nothing can be matched with our child's happiness. You did it correctly. Thank you.
