DO you like to grow out your nails or cut them?

Why or why not?
I like to cut my nails i love long nails its just so hard to keep them long i tried growing out my nails so many times because i think long natural nails are pretty but i always break my nail. thats why fake nails are thicker and harder for me to break. Which is good because i don't want to break them.
So i like long nails but i cut them because one its just cleaner for my nails because when you have long nails food and dirt gets under the nails.
Do you paint your nails?
I don't like painting my nails but when i do i paint it red, white or black.

Well i like to cut my nails because long nails irritate me I don't know why but it do. SO I try to keep my nails short plus to don't have to worry about caring about your nails.

I like to cut my nails. If I grow out my nails it will end up breaking off. So it is easier to keep my nails clean without the nails.

I have tried to grow my nails out twice since I was young. BOth attempts have failed. I pick my nails out of a bad fedgeting habit i guess. I just cant quit. But i have come to terms with not having long nails and i soo second how nasty they tend to get.

I got the same problem as yours. I have tried to grow them and once they are pretty big (not that big but for me they are already big) and it's like a treat but I stop myself saying that I have to quit this bad habit and then keep quite. But sometime or the other when I am thinking deeply at work or at home, the nails that I am trying to grow is gone.....LOL

I like to keep my nails short. I find it very irritating to keep long nails. They seem to come in the way of a lot of things.
I have never painted my nails and I am not planning to do it in the future.
You are right. Dirt gets under long nails and it looks really dirty. I cannot stand dirty fingers.

I like to let my nails grow out. Nails longer on WOMEN will always look good to me. My nails right now are pretty long, but I am always having trouble keeping them clean....although, I always wash my hands constantly. Some people don't like to keep them long because they also have a hard time keep them clean and the longer they get the harder it is to keep them strong and clean. Another reason why I try not to cut them is because for some reason it hurts like hell...I guess I just cut more than I should.

I prefer to have long nails but I don't usually have my real nails. I usually have acrylic nails because I like the look of them and the nail polish doesn't chip on them.

Hi, justbeingtiffany. I usually will grow out my nails when they get longer. I never cut my fingernails. But, I do cut my toe nails though. I love nail polish, but I don't polish them that often.. My nails have grown so long plenty of times. And, I have wished that they would stay that way too. It does not take long for my nails to chip off then grow back again.

I cut my nails every weekend. I like them short and clean. Its nice and tidy towards hygiene . Though, i never understood why girls like to keep long nails.Short nails are also very cute for girls. A little color on the nails would be a amazing touch on the nails of the girls. Hehe . Happy mylotting .

I keep mine pretty short because I work in a nursing home in direct care of the residents. I didn't always listen to the 1/4 inch rule until I accidental scratched the heck out of this ladies knee. I felt so bad! But now I keep them short and if I paint them it's either sparkles, blue, black or a deep maroon. I also have a white pearl that I cover with glitter.

I like my nails long for sure! Up until about a year ago I used to bite my nails so I never had any. But since I have officially curbed that bad habbit I love keep my nails long and taking care of them! And I dont think my nails look good painted unless its a french time. So normally I paint them clear.

I have tried growing my nails but every time it gets slightly long, I find that it annoying and I have to cut it short. I find it irritating that it is quite difficult to do things with long nails. And dirt and whatever always get under my nails when they are longer. I find that short nails are cleaner and are better looking. I have also started painting my fingernails and I like to paint them a blood red colour or pretty shades of red or pink. I have always painted my toenails and I always keep them coloured. I think it is pretty that way.

As a boy, I really dont want to have a long nails, but it isn't because the dirt under the nails, actually when the nails a little longer it will be cutted off casually by me, well, sometimes you will have a temptation to bite them..

I like to keep mine long enough to look nice when polished, but short enough that cannot be mistaken for daggers.

I have never understood the concept of longer nails being pretty. Now, I understand that chewed on, jagged nails are less attractive than having regular figure nails.
But if two identical girls showed up, one with long painted nails, and the other with perfectly fine regular nails, I highly doubt I would notice, and if I did, I certainly wouldn't care, or prefer one over the other.
So, I'm pretty indifferent. There are so many more important attributes I think.

i dont like long nails, so when it grows any longer, i'll cut them.
because i think there are too much bacteria in them, no matter how sanitary they are.

I like to have long nails... The only downfall is that I am constantly cleaning them and making sure there is no dirt underneath..... I think it is such a turnoff when you meet someone with dirty nails ( of course if they just got off work or something that is understandable) I mean in the grocery store or somewhere out in public.... I like my mans nails to be kept short (not down to quick) but short ..... I just think men look better with short nails.....

I Like long nails , it helps to scratch someone ;) but i don't keep it because as you said it becomes dirty when it comes to food. It becomes yellowish if i don't cut my nails, that's the thing i don't like it about nails.
Nails really helps when it comes the scratch anything or to pull out something , thats y i don't cut my nail of my left index finger. You may never know when its gonna help ;)
