I`m sitting here looking at all the books and I wonder sometimes why I keep them. I have read most of them, some over and over. I have many cook books, however I do not use them anymore. The cook books I am creating is what I learned from experience. One day I will get these completed and published. Do you keep books?

I have a shelf of books that I've read and really love. Another shelf holds Jay's books, a dictionary and a Bible Concordance. A lady we know has boxes of books, that she never looks at! Jay asked her, 'Nancy, why do you keep those books?' Her reply, 'Someday I might need them!'

Before the pandemic, I do collect them. I have this simple wish to have a mini-library.

I have quite a few books and some are series so I reread them now and then, I have not bought any new ones as I still have some I haven't read. I think a book at any time is a good company.

When I get over run with books I will give them to the local Salvation Army store. Or if I know someone who would like them I pass them along.

I am going through shelves and boxing up books this last few weeks. I do not want to leave it all for my kids to deal with and the space is more precious than the books. Hubby is preventing me from parting with some of them though.

You should clean house and donate some or all. I only keep a handful of books that I LOVE. If I don't love it, I don't keep it. Since the internet has millions of recipes on it, I usually just bookmark my favorite recipe websites and print out a handful of my favorite recipes from different sites. Are your recipes original?

No. You'd think I don't read at all, as few books as I have here. That's what my library card is for.

I keep too many books, I think my husband would kill me if I get rid of those books.

@andriaperry I keep certain things that are very important to me and others i donate or return to the bookstore. Right now I have some books to return but have not been to town in ages so they stay here until I can.

I donated all mine back in 2017 because anything I want to read is available on the internet. I have so much more room here now ...... uhh well, most of the time, that recycle stuff takes up a lot of space until I get it packed up and out to the bins in Las Cruces. People with those recycle bins at their homes have no idea how good theys got it, I gotta drive 30 miles to get to the bins.

I have been paring down books for years. But I still have quite a few. Trying to really think whether I will read a book again before I keep it.
