I Bought All the Balloons

I couldn't help myself. I was so overwhelmed by the selection, that I decided to buy them all. What can I say? When I go big, I go BIG!
Haha just kidding! Could you imagine the hit to my wallet if I tried to buy all those balloons? But I did think about it. Because how cool would that be to walk into your house and see all those balloons all over the place? I know my girlfriend's heart would melt at such a sight!
Happy Valentine's Day my friends! I hope all of you are having a beautiful day, regardless of whether you are celebrating or not.

I can't get the damn picture to load. I can't get any photos to load right now. I tried on my computer and on my phone, and with several different pictures in several different sizes. A no-go on all of them.

Spending time with my sweetheart, making a meal that the 2 of us will love, and really connecting during the meal, enjoying the ambiance of fresh roses on the table and candle light, that is what does it for me.

@Juliaacv I think the day can really be a special day if the couple really puts their heart into it--for the sake of love--and not because it's obligatory because it's a commercial holiday.

My girlfriend is not a fan of Valentines Day at all. She hates the commercialism of the holiday. But I did get her one balloon. lol

Yes, I did get her a nice balloon. She had to work until 8:30 last night, so I didn’t go all out on a celebration, but I did take her out for a nice dinner when she got home from work. She’s been sick for the past 4 days and cooped up at home, so it was nice for her to get out for the evening. Plus, it was nice to see her get her appetite back.

@just4him It’s good to see her back to full strength. We did an impromptu trip to Disney World last night after work, because Epcot is currently running their Festival of the Arts showcase. We enjoyed walking around the theme park looking at all the wonderful art, and of course we also bought tons of food at all the food kiosks set up all around the park. She ate like a horse! Haha

@wolfgirl569 I think love should be expressed daily throughout the year. It doesn't have to be flowers and cards and balloons every single day, but there are plenty of ways throughout the year to show love.

I didn’t make a big deal of the holiday because I don’t like the commercialism of it, but I did take my girlfriend out for a very nice dinner, and got her some flowers and balloons as well.

I have save all of my kids' homemade cards as well. I have just about every birthday card they ever gave me. The handmade ones are my favorites, especially when they were little and couldn't spell very well. lol

I don't have a significant other but did send candy to my older grandkids out-of-state and the ones near me, I got them each a bag of Mother's Cookies with frosting (their favorites) since their school had a huge party and loaded them with candy. I gave my son some fancy jerky and he two plants for my window. I'm not eating candy right now. The plants were perfect.
