Life’s Rollercoaster: It Won’t Stay Down Forever!

Hey everyone! Life has kept me super busy lately, so I haven’t been around much on MyLot. I haven’t made a discussion or commented on yours—and I really missed that!
If you remember my post about my not-so-good blood test results, just a little update: I saw the doctor, and she put me on statins, but I had a bad reaction to them. So, we switched to a non-statin drug that helps block cholesterol absorption in my intestines. I’m also on thyroid meds now because my TSH levels were high, and I’ve been given a meal plan by a nutritionist. My doctor said if I follow it closely, I might be off these meds by November or December. Exercise, sunlight before 8 a.m., and good sleep—those are part of the plan too, and no late nights!
I also have a few doctor referrals lined up: OBGyne (since my periods have been acting up), orthopedic (to check on my scoliosis), plus a pulmonologist and cardiologist (since I’ve been feeling weak and easily tired). Even though I had an X-ray and ECG in March which were all normal, she still wants me to visit them. Lots of checkups ahead!
On top of that, I recently started an affiliate marketing page, which has been keeping me busy learning the ropes. And of course, the usual household chores and errands are never-ending.
To leave you with a smile, here’s a funny quote I came across: “Life is just like a willy. Sometimes it’s up and sometimes it’s down, but it won’t be hard forever.” Ain’t it true though?

I appreciate your understanding! It really does feel overwhelming at times, but you’re right—it could be worse. Hope you are well too!

@grenery8 It’s so frustrating when doctors can’t give clear answers. I think you’re right though, sometimes we have to rely on ourselves and trust what our bodies are telling us. It’s tough, but you’re strong for pushing through it all. And hey, quitting your job can be a fresh start—things will get better from here! Take it one step at a time.

@pitsipeahie absolutely i understand you! i went two times last week to hospital and i gave them my blood and time and all they could say is they don't know for sure and are amazed by things i talk to them, that cause me pain.
for physiatrist, that from my legs, backpain, a month ago i faced pain in my shoulder, she just said i need physical therapy and she can't say anything more. for nephrologist, i was taking corticosteroids, stopped almost a year ago but i thought that back pain, muscle pain had something to do with that considering i have immune kidney disease (in remision) but he said probably not and when i asked to say to me something more about my disease, he says they don't know. all i know is i am my own doctor from now on, it seems, which is sad but at least i know i can count on myself more and thank you for asking; sorry i wrote it too long. also, well, i quit my job but, hey, it could be worse.

Aww, thanks so much! I'm hoping for the best with all these checkups. And yeah, that quote gave me a good laugh—gotta keep the humor going, right?

@pitsipeahie Yes, I believe that I am in a good shape, they say pray, believe, and, wait. I would love to believe first, and hoping for God to heal me... medications is really expensive you know and kinda painful. I don't want to undergo the secons request of the doctor because its kinda painful... But I know I can do everything through Christ within me. I hope everything goes well with you also, Aja!

Take care of your health. Thats the most important. Rest will fall in place. Avoiding late nights is a great start.Sunlight before 8 am , should help you with Vitamin D and checking other parameters are all good . Hopefully with exercise and lifestyle changes , you should be able to come out the medicines and troubles in a month or two. So, be at your best when it comes to these activities. I too have been busy with my tasks and activities. I do get tired easily as well and perhaps should undergo my medical tests and well , I have been keeping them off for some time. You have a great weekend!

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! I’m definitely doing my best to stick to the plan and hopefully get off the meds soon. I hope you find time to take care of yourself too—it’s so easy to push off those medical tests, but better to get ahead of it. Wishing you a restful weekend as well!
