Queenmother the yappiness depends on the owner! I have had 5 Pekenese and none of them were yappers. they were quiet. the 3 schnauzers I have had were not yappers either. I would not allow them to bark for no reason. I AM THE QUEEN! and ruler of the dogs.

Queenmother agreed - going to vet for flea prevention is best. neighbors are the ones with the problems. they try to live "natural" - health food, etc. they are vegetarians and I have wondered if they make their dogs be vegetarians too (LOL)

How do you deal with children who tease your dog?

Queenmother UPDATE on email. This worked for me. The father came to me and thanked me. He did not know his kids were teasing my dogs & wondered why the peke growled at him when he walked by with one of the kids. duh!!!! anyway he was glad he was made aware and will work...
