rebekkahm My parents' dog caught it too. She likes to catch small birds that come to their feeder and they think she got it from there. Glad to hear that your dog recovered well. Happy mylotting to you too!

rebekkahm I agree that I'd be furious if that is how this little guy came to be out all alone. But it's possible that he slipped out when someone was leaving for work or taking the garbage out. My youngest is an escape artist that would give houdini a run for his money....

rebekkahm You're right about the parasites. I know some of the mice my male eats can carry tape worms. I have him treated every 6 months for a whole list of different types of worms and bugs for just that reason.

rebekkahm Heh, she sounds like a pampered princess to me. I have one similar, the only time she goes out is to sun herself on the back deck. She's lucky if she makes it to the tree line before turning around lol.

rebekkahm bad luck to get married on a saturday? lol every wedding I can remember going to was on a saturday. As far as I know, most are on saturday because it's more convenient for travellers.
