I am new to linux platform I want ot be competitive. Is taking RHCE a nice idea? what are the advantages of having that certification?

shadowstain When you are linux certified like having RHCE, it just means you know your way around in linux administration. Companies will very much prefer hiring administrators with this certification than those without it.

shadowstain There is really no such thing as the best OS. This will all depend on the user, which suites him best. Linux distros are free anyways, I suggest get hold of a free copy and install it on a test machine. Once you get a feel of it, take it from there and see...

shadowstain linux is a great OS. If you are still starting out in using the OS, you may want to check some howto's for newbies, this will help. Although there is a gui, which is a lot easier to navigate, you will need to use the command line too.
