shannon76 You are 21 - why are you still living with your parents? Basically, I look at it this way: their house, their rules. You want to live by your rules, move out. If not, then understand, it is their house and you are still their responsibility.

shannon76 Okay, just remember as long as you have proof you paid the debt, you should be fine. I would check your credit report to make sure they aren't reporting on it. You can get it for free once a year.

shannon76 If I were you, don't just tear them up and ignore them. If they are trying to collect a debt that has been paid, that usually means it is still on your credit. Follow up with them and send them proof it has been paid that way, if need be, they can take it off...
