How do you convert a mp4 to an avi?

When I burn something from our tv to a disc, then copy it using the program of Nero, the file gets converted to a mp4 file. I want to be able to convert them somehow to avi. Does anyone know how to do this? Or maybe even a program...

shrey_naik I don't understand one thing, we can still run old wndows 95, 98 programs on windows XP, then why can't we run software for 32 bit on 64 bit?

shrey_naik You can change the video size in FormatFactory, when select video format say "all to avi" in that in output setting there are predefine options are there or by selecting custom you can select your own video size. Thanks and enjoy your videos.

shrey_naik My first PC was having Windows 98. I created boot floppy and I formated the PC, at that time I wasn't aware of what FORMAT means, but somehow I installed Windows and started PC.Thankfully no one else other than me were using PC.

shrey_naik Thanks for your reply!! I am searching information for 64 bit version on internet. Somewhere I found that since my processor supports 64 bit & I am using 32 bit, remaining 32 bit is not getting utilised, so to get full use of mine processor I should migrate...
